The item is part of Kith‘s celebration of the 40th Anniversary of the Back To The Future Film trilogy starring Micheal J Fox. 

In Back To The Future, the DeLorean DMC-12 was the vessel used to time travel for Marty McFly. Director Steven Spielberg chose the DeLorean for its futuristic stainless-steel body and gull-wing doors, which were meant to be mistaken for an alien spaceship by a 1950s family.
