Bob Ross (1942–1995) was a beloved American painter, art instructor, and television host best known for creating and hosting The Joy of Painting on PBS from 1983 to 1994. Famous for his soothing voice, afro, and "happy little trees," he popularized the "wet-on-wet" oil painting technique, enabling viewers to create landscapes in 30 minutes.
