Nike Authentic Dri-Fit 2011-2012 Illinois Fighting Illini Short (USED)

The 2011-2012 Nike Authentic Illinois Fighting Illini basketball shorts were part of the Nike Team Issue apparel line, designed for NCAA competition and often used for the March Madness tournament. They are characterized by their durable construction, long, baggy fit typical of the era, and moisture-wicking.

During the 2011-12 season the team began the season strongly, winning its first 10 games and reaching as high as No. 19 in the AP Poll. However, they struggled significantly in conference play, ending the year on a three-game losing streak that included a first-round exit in the Big Ten Tournament against Iowa. Coach Meyers would eventually get fired the following year. The team was led by future pro and sophomore Meyers Leonard.
